Cosmetic Acupuncture

Our Natural Lifting Facial incorporates cosmetic acupuncture and auriculotherapy (ear acupuncture) together with other relaxing, natural-lifting massage techniques to provide you with an all-over body and face rejuvenation. This is quite simply a ‘must try’ if you are seeking skin results that last but would prefer to go down a more holistic route as part of your skin and self care routine. The small, fine needles (different to traditional acupuncture needles) are gently inserted into key areas of the face which encourages the muscles to tighten, stimulating the skin to spring back and work again as it once did.

Our unique Natural Lifting Facial treatment works primarily with the face and ears, which are both microsystems of the body, meaning we can effectively treat major organs of the body whilst simultaneously retraining muscles and stimulating collagen production within the face to naturally lift and rejuvenate the skin, resulting in a well-rested glow. This provides the basis for a deeply relaxing treatment that will leave you feeling invigorated and recharged as well as looking brighter, glowing and youthful. Although a one-off treatment will provide results, a course of sessions with Anna over time will provide a cumulative effect in improving the appearance of your skin as well as your sense of overall wellbeing. We are delighted to offer this innovative treatment as a new addition to our treatment portfolio.

FAQs

What is cosmetic acupuncture and how does it work?

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the appearance of the face is a representation of the health and balance within a person’s internal organs so, as these organs are strengthened, the face shows improvements accordingly. This is why cosmetic acupuncture goes far beyond aesthetic repair. Furthermore, the needles are placed into problem areas on the face and neck, such as wrinkles or acne scarring, to promote nutrient-rich blood flow, stimulate muscle activity and toning, and encourage collagen growth, which all contribute to a more youthful and healthy-looking appearance.

What happens during a treatment?

After finding out a little more about your current state of health and observing your skin tone and texture, various very fine needles are inserted into the body (lower leg), face and ears, using specific points which represent organs of the body to stimulate energy and blood flow. Once a full body reset and rejuvenation is in place, additional specifically designed tiny facial needles are inserted to treat fine lines and wrinkles, loss of elasticity, acne scarring, etc. A nourishing collagen mask is applied to your face and also your hands as an additional treat. Whilst relaxing under the restorative and hydrating mask, a jade roller is gently used to further stimulate and encourage blood flow. To finish, facial cupping is used to give your skin a natural lift. It’s important to note this is not the same as body cupping where you can be left with circular bruises – there are no markings. The result is bright, lifted and glowing skin and your whole body and mind will thank you for the deep relaxation and reset.

What is cosmetic acupuncture used to treat?

Cosmetic acupuncture can be used to treat a huge variety of conditions but at the very least it will take you to a deep state of relaxation where your body will be healing and repairing itself. Facially we can stimulate collagen and elastin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and give a beautifully radiance.

Will my treatment hurt?

The face and ears are microsystems of the body which is how we can give the body a workout at the same time as rejuvenating your skin. You may feel some of the needles enter but it’s like a dull ache or sharp scratch which lasts for literally a second. The majority of needles you won’t feel at all. Once all of the needles are in you will drift off.

How long will my cosmetic acupuncture treatment take?

Generally a full treatment takes around 60 minutes.

How much does it cost?

A single treatment costs £200, a course of 6 costs £1000.
