Viscoderm hydrobooster is an injectable hyaluronic acid product made by IBSA (the same company as Profhilo) and has a dual action, combining deep hydration and bio-stimulation (to improve elasticity, radiance and smoothness of the skin) with a unique stretching effect to reduce superficial wrinkles. Effectively, Viscoderm hydrobooster treatment works from the inside out, helping to restore the support structures of the skin tissue. Viscoderm’s unique property is that it is injected superficially into the line to stretch the skin which, in turn, minimises the appearance of that line.
The most common areas that Viscoderm hydrobooster can be used to treat are crow’s feet, under the eye lines, forehead and smoker’s lines. Once you’ve had an initial consultation with us, we’ll be able to advise if Viscoderm hydrobooster is the best treatment for you.
Treatment Guide & FAQs
What happens first?
Before we carry out any treatment, we will ask you to book an initial consultation with our aesthetic doctor. During this consultation, we’ll take a full medical history and carry out the latest Visia computerised skin analysis to take magnified 3D images of your face.
We’ll also carry out a visual assessment of your skin and talk to you about your needs, hopes and expectations. We’ll find out a bit more about lifestyle factors that might not only affect your skin, but also what type of treatment would be most suitable. Having gathered all this valuable information, we’ll have a better understanding of which treatment you need and where they should be injected to give you the best outcome. We’ll create a bespoke treatment plan that is entirely focused on you as an individual.
Will you suggest other treatments?
It may be that you come to us thinking you need one type of treatment but that we are able to suggest a more suitable alternative. Whatever the case, we will very much consider your individual needs and give you an honest assessment, including realistic expectations of the outcomes of your treatment.
What happens during a Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment?
Once we’ve cleansed your skin, we’ll apply a topical anaesthetic cream for 20-30 minutes before injecting the hyaluronic acid product. As we are targeting lines specifically, the treatment can take up to 30 minutes. For best results you’ll need to have a second Viscoderm hydrobooster treatment in two months’ time.
What is Viscoderm Hydrobooster used to treat?
Viscoderm hydrobooster is new to the UK market and, like Profhilo, offers something new and exciting, being the first of its kind to have a stretch function. For example, you may have had Botox to soften your forehead lines and crow’s feet but the superficial wrinkles and lines are still present – this is where Viscoderm comes in as the hyaluronic acid is injected into these lines to provide deep hydration, plump and lift which improves elasticity, radiance and smoothness of the skin.
Does Viscoderm Hydrobooster treatment hurt?
As a topical anaesthetic cream is applied you’ll barely feel the Viscoderm hydrobooster injections being administered.
How long will treatment take?
We allow 60-90 minutes for Viscoderm hydrobooster treatments, depending on how much we need to inject. We’ll know more once we’ve seen you for your initial consultation.
How much does it cost
A single treatment costs £450 and a course of two Viscoderm hydrobooster treatments (two separate treatments are required) is £800.
