Anti-Wrinkle Injections (Botox®)

Botox, Bocouture

As many of the fine lines and wrinkles on our faces are caused by the repeated contraction of our facial muscles, anti-wrinkle injections using Botox® can significantly soften their appearance, and prevent them from worsening. This is achieved by blocking nerve activity in the muscles to cause a temporary reduction in their movement.

For beauty that is natural and balanced

We take a ‘less is more’ approach with all of our injectable treatments, treating patients conservatively to achieve beautifully natural-looking results. Whether treating frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet, neck bands or a turned down mouth, our aim will always be for you to look rested, rather than ‘done’. In addition, Botox® can also be used to treat conditions including excessive sweating, teeth grinding, and headaches.

Botox® treatment guide & FAQs

Before we carry out any treatment, we will ask you to book an initial consultation with one of our aesthetic doctors. Here we will take a full medical history and, if required, carry out a Visia computerised skin analysis that allows us to examine magnified 3D images of your face.

We will also carry out a visual assessment of your skin and talk to you about your needs, hopes and expectations. Having gathered all this valuable information, we will then have a better understanding of which treatment you need to achieve the best outcome.

It may be that you come to us with a specific treatment in mind however, if on assessment, we feel an alternative might be more appropriate then we’ll let you know. Whatever the case, we will very much consider your individual needs and give you an honest assessment, including realistic expectations of the outcomes of your treatment.

Although Botox® (botulinum toxin) is a brand name, it is also the household name for anti-wrinkle injections, just like Hoover is the household name for a vacuum cleaner. There are several different brands of anti-wrinkle injections and it is important to know that you are being injected with what you think you are. At WY we generally use Botox® and on some occasions Bocouture.

At Waterhouse Young, we handpick our aesthetic doctors based on their skills, experience, and alignment with our ‘less is more’ approach.

At Waterhouse Young, we use very fine ‘invisible’ needles. This means you will barely feel anything in comparison to traditional needles.

Our doctors have a great deal of skill and experience carrying out this treatment so they are quick and focused on making sure that you feel comfortable at all times.

We allow 30 minutes however, the actual procedure takes less than this. We’ll never rush your treatment – we want you to feel relaxed, informed and in safe hands every step of the way.

Absolutely. Even if you are happy with the result, it is important to attend as your practitioner will want to see that they have the best result for you and, if not, they can give a little tweak. There is no charge for this appointment unless you decide to have another area treated.

Baby Botox® is a term for having less product injected. It gives you the option to continue to have muscle movement and expression post treatment and not to be frozen. Baby Botox® gives a very natural and soft result but may not last as long as less product has been injected.

Anti-wrinkle injections and dermal fillers are two very different treatments. Anti-wrinkle injections work to relax the wrinkle-making muscles so are a great choice to effectively treat facial lines such as forehead lines (frown lines), laughter lines, bunny lines (nose wrinkles), crow’s feet, neck bands and to smooth fine lines.

Dermal fillers (including lip fillers) are used to replace lost volume, contour, lift and sculpt the face. In addition, Botox® can also be used to treat Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) by injecting the sweat glands to reduce underarm sweating amongst other areas – you can find out more about Hyperhidrosis treatment here.

At Waterhouse Young, all our practitioners work under the same ethos of less is more. This ensures natural results, so you can instead expect comments on how refreshed and well you look.

At WY, we charge by number of areas treated. Prices start at £250 for one treatment area.
