Leg Thread Veins
Leg thread veins are a common concern and although medically harmless, many people find them unsightly and choose to have them removed. Leg thread veins are often genetically inherited and are more common among women than men. They often occur following pregnancy, but also as we age. Thread veins are also known as spider veins and the medical name for them is telangiectasia. In simple terms, they are damaged veins which are visible on the surface of the skin. Once thread veins appear on your legs, they are unlikely to disappear without treatment.
Leg thread veins can be effectively treated with 3D IPL technology. Thread veins are different to varicose veins, which do not respond to IPL treatment and require either sclerotherapy or surgery.
