Q&A with Leanne
What does your job mean to you?
My work is my life and I truly believe that, as you spend lots of hours at work, you really need to do something you love.
What is your favourite part of your role at WY?
I really enjoy being part of the Waterhouse Young team and, having worked at different aesthetic clinics, I can honestly say that Waterhouse Young only use the best products and gold-star treatments which really do deliver visible results. It’s so important in our field to offer treatments you believe in.
What do you think is the next big trend in Skin and beauty?
I anticipate that the next big trend will be future proofing your skin. We are all now becoming more aware of the impact the sun, pollution and blue light can have on our skin and focus is now being put upon us protecting the skin we are in. I believe that the younger generation can really prevent visible ageing with the right skincare and treatments.
Why is now the time to have a conscious approach to skin and life?
With all that is going on in the world right now, it has made us realise how important taking care of ourselves is. There are many ways of protecting our skin and body from the outside, and internally too, and it’s all about looking after ourselves. It’s also key to ask what you can do to uplift yourself as a worry-free mind will help improve your skin and life in general.
What is one tweak you have made to your wellbeing routine that has made a big difference in the last year?
I have started to take some time for myself in the evenings. Once a week I go out and do what I want to do, whether that’s having treatments, going for a walk in the park or shopping. I like to ensure I take that time for myself. Life can be very busy so it’s great to step away and have some ‘me’ time.
Your favourite things to do when you are not in the clinic?
I am a Mummy to a little boy and I love to spend time with my family, creating lots of happy memories.
