When you entrust something as precious as your face to someone, you want to know that you’re in the best and safest hands. The UK’s leading cosmetic surgeon, Norman Waterhouse, has handpicked the best aesthetic team in the business to look after you.

Wrinkle treatments using Botox can reduce or even remove the appearance of the fine lines and wrinkles and loose ageing skin that are a classic giveaway of your age. We treat typical problem areas such as brow and frown lines, smokers’ lines and crows’ feet, as well as more advanced areas such as neck bands or the corners of your mouth, which may be turning down and giving you a sad appearance as you grow older.

We take a conservative, ‘less is more’ approach to wrinkle-free injections to ensure that you retain some muscle movement to leave your face as natural and expressive as ever. Our clients often comment on our aesthetic doctors’ soft touch and how reassuring it is.

After their treatment, many of our clients tell us that they look like a refreshed, rejuvenated and happier version of themselves. We think that’s the ultimate outcome and testament to the precision skill of our team.

We can also use Botox to effectively treat medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) and bruxism (teeth grinding).

Your treatment plan will be bespoke to you - your face is precious and unique, and we will treat it as such.

What’s next?

We’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions and their answers (below and right) to help you find out more. To discuss your concerns about your skin, as well as your hopes for treatment, the first step is to book an initial consultation. You can fill out our quick and easy form or call us on 020 7486 3849 and we will be happy to help.

What is Botox and how does it work?

Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA), also called botulinum toxin type A, is an injectable treatment made from highly purified toxins from the bacteria that causes botulism.

Botulinum toxin blocks nerve activity in the muscles, causing a temporary reduction in their movement. As many of the fine lines and wrinkles on our faces are caused by the repeated contraction of our facial muscles, Botox can significantly reduce their appearance.

What happens during a treatment?

When you arrive for your Botox treatment, we’ll remove any make-up around the area to be treated and then get you to make certain facial expressions so that we can mark the points on your face or neck that we plan to inject. Once this is done, we will use an incredibly fine needle to inject small amounts of Botox into the targeted muscles.

There should be little to no signs of treatment other than mild swelling until the product injected has settled; this doesn’t take long. Other than that there may be a bit of redness and, in rare cases, some mild bruising. You should be able to leave and continue with your day as normal.

What can Botox be used to treat?

You may be bothered by deepening horizontal lines on your forehead, vertical frown lines between your eyebrows, crows’ feet, smokers’ lines, neck bands, or lines that are beginning to appear and pull down the corners of your mouth. We can use Botox to drastically improve any or all of these problem areas.

Botox also offers a highly effective treatment option for excessive sweating because it can be injected into the sweat glands to reduce sweat production by up to 90%. If you suffer with hyperhidrosis, this treatment can be life changing.

We are also able to use Botox to relax your jaw if you’re someone who grinds their teeth.

Will my treatment hurt?

Cosmetic injections for wrinkle treatments typically feel like a pinprick and you won’t need an anaesthetic. If you are worried at all, please let us know as it is possible to apply an anaesthetic cream to more sensitive areas.

As our doctors have a great deal of skill and experience carrying out this treatment, they are quick and focused on making sure that you feel comfortable at all times.

How long will my Botox treatment take?

You may have heard Botox wrinkle treatments referred to as a ‘lunchtime’ procedure – this is because the injections can be done relatively quickly. Naturally, it depends on the size of the area being treated but a treatment usually takes less than 30 minutes.

Of course, we’ll never rush your treatment. We want you to feel relaxed, informed and in safe hands every step of the way.

How much does Botox cost?

We will discuss the exact price of your treatment during your consultation as it will depend on the area(s) to be treated. Prices start from £300.
